Book Review And Giveaway: Tattooed Dots and The One by Kimberly Knight

During the Sacramento Author Signing, I had the privilege of meeting Author Kimberly Knight and getting two of my favorite books she wrote signed, to give away to my readers!

Before I continue, Kimberly Knight's latest book, Angels & Whiskey was JUST RELEASED!! If you like Alpha, former Military Special Forces men, this book is right up your alley! Gabe is definitely Book Boyfriend material!! It's only $3.99 for Kindle version, so snatch this bad boy up now!

BUT... those aren't the books I'm giving away.  Nope, I'm talking about her book Tattooed Dots and the Companion/Sequel The One.  I have both of these in paperback, signed by the author, that I'm giving away as a set.  Plus, I will also give away two e-copies of Tattooed Dots to lucky winners.

So what are these about?

Tattooed Dots

*This romance novel contains explicit content and is not advised for readers under 18*

Easton Crawford put his modeling career and good looks before his marriage until it was over. Years later, he is finally learning how to be the father his daughter needed him to be. He’s not looking for a new mom for his daughter—just nightly casual hook-ups. When his best friend, Avery, convinces him that a good way to meet a lot of single women is to go on a singles cruise, Easton finds more than just a hook-up when he meets a fellow cruiser, Brooke.

Brooke Bradley has taken care of her younger sister, Bailee, for most of their lives. While their mother was enjoying not being a mother, Brooke became the adult in the household at thirteen. She had always taken care of the people in her life, especially her boyfriend, Jared. If it wasn’t for Brooke, Jared wouldn’t know how to function throughout the day.

When Brooke’s best friend, Nicole, gives her a gift of going on a cruise without telling her that it’s a singles cruise, will Brooke find someone willing to be her constant and finally leave Jared?

Brooke and Easton learn that people are brought into their lives for many reasons. Over time, they find out what those reasons are. Some are to be a temporary acquaintance while others are there for life.

This book starts with Easton and his friend Avery attending a singles cruise, both with different agendas.  On the cruise, Easton meets Brooke, who is not currently single but is considering whether she should be.  I absolutely LOVED this book.  I mean, LOVED THIS BOOK.  This is one of those books that sticks with you and leaves you wanting more.  So much depth and love and you will absolutely fall in love with the characters.

This book also brings awareness to a condition called Desmoid Tumors which there currently is no cure for.  The author herself has had two of these tumors in two years' time and is still recovering from her most recent surgery.  Knowing this information ahead of time made reading this book even more touching for me.  (No worries, there is a HEA)

The One

*This romance novel contains explicit content and is not advised for readers under 18*

*Can be read as it's own book, but recommend you read Tattooed Dots first.*

Avery Scott is a hopeless romantic, the complete opposite of his best friend, Easton. For most of his life, he’s been searching for that someone special to spend the rest of his life with. The problem is, he’s had nothing but bad first dates with crazy women he’s met online or at his bar, Halo. When he hears about a singles cruise, his plan is to meet a lot of single women, to test the waters, but when a blonde consumes his every thought, he throws that plan overboard.

Nicole Chambers has had her fair share of heartbreaks. She’s tired of being single or dating guys with girlfriends. She wants to find The One. So she convinces her best friend, Brooke, to go on a singles cruise with her. What she doesn’t expect is to fall head over heels with the first guy she meets.

But what happens once the cruise ends?

Life isn’t always fairytales and rainbows…

And meeting The One doesn’t always mean finding your happily ever after. Because life can give you a precious gift and then dangle it in front of your eyes and you’re left questioning where to go with your future—or if you even have one.

This book takes place at the same time as the other book, but highlights the story of Easton and Brooke's friends' Avery and Nicole.  This is their story, and what a beautiful story it is.
