It was our second day in Yosemite. We went to lunch in the Valley and then caught the 2 hour open-air tram tour. What brought me the biggest joy (besides spending time with the family) was watching a female and male Blue Jay work together to build their nest. It was so sweet. The male would fly and grab nest building material, fly up to the female and then hand it to her and fly off for more material. I thought it was incredibly sweet.

And while I didn't get any good pictures of them, we saw deer everywhere. It was like deerapalooza today. Here are pictures I took on the 2 hour tram tour.
All of these pictures were taken with my iPhone4S and with the Pro HDR app. Who needs those silly fancy cameras anyway? (other than Mr. G)
I'm going to have to check out that Pro HDR app. Those are some amazing pictures!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeff!
DeleteOff to find the app - I agree with Jeff - fabulous pictures!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love this app. The only thing is you have to hold really still and hold your breath for like 10 seconds while it analyzes, takes one picture and takes a second picture. But if you can handle it, it can produce some really amazing shots with the iPhone.
DeleteI am loving these pictures! And equally jealous that I'm not there. Husband and I went to San Francisco for our honeymoon and spent a day in Yosemite. We keep saying we'll have to go back for a full vaca there since we only had one day.
ReplyDeleteHope you guys are having a fabulous time in that gorgeous place!
One day in Yosemite? I can't even imagine! We usually try to make it a 6-7 day visit and we go at least once a year. You definitely need to come back!! We'll meet you here! :)
DeleteThat would be awesome! Our kids would have so much fun together, too! Someday.... *le sigh*
Delete;)
Beautiful photos! You know, if you'd like to see Blue Jays, all you have to do is come visit me in Toronto. We have a whole team of them! ;)
ReplyDeleteDo your Canadian Blue Jays build cute little nests like these ones? ;)
