We're renting a lovely, 4 bedroom, 4 bath new construction home here inside the park. This happens to be the only rental house inside the park that has wi-fi. (which is why we chose it) Between that and the satellite TV, this is exactly our kind of "camping". And yes, I brought my tempur-pedic pillow with me. Cause that's how I roll.
There are definitely bears here. Signs like this are posted around.

In fact, we don't have burglar-proof bars on the windows... we have bear-proof bars.

Today a storm came through, dropping rain at lower elevations and snow at higher elevations. So imagine our surprise when the rain outside our house turned to snow.
The kids were screaming with excitement and running from window to window to watch their first snowfall.

We drove down into the Valley where the snow wasn't falling yet and took some lovely photos. By this evening, the ground & trees were blanketed in snow around our house.
Forecast for tomorrow: More Snow! I can't wait to wake up in the morning and see more snow everywhere. Oh and we came prepared for the snow. We brought socks for the kids to wear with their crocs.
In the meantime, here are some of the pictures I took with my iPhone.

Your phone takes better pics than my Nikon. ;)
ReplyDeleteAgreed, gorgeous pics! I'm jealous, I'm a Colorado girl but have been to Cali many times and still haven't seen Yosemite. One day!
ReplyDelete@Spank, that's because I have an iPhone. I think it's about time for you to lay your Spankberry to rest and get an iSpank. And the new iPhone that's coming out is supposed to have a much better camera.
ReplyDelete@Erica, you should definitely visit Yosemite! We try to go every year!
AHHHH bears!
ReplyDeleteYour kids are stylish. #fact
