We had lunch at the Three Broomsticks. It was pretty good. They have two kinds of Butterbeer, regular and frozen/slushy. Definitely get the frozen kind. If you enter the bathrooms, you will hear Moaning Myrtle talking to you. All the HP soundtracks play throughout Hogsmead.
The only downside is Ollivanders. You wait in line a long time only to find that one out of 30 people get to be chosen for the wand experience. Instead, you can go to the Owl Post and buy wands... Either replicas of your favorite character's wands or a wand based on your birthday. (just tell the attendant your birthday and she'll hand you the appropriate wand. And of course I got one. In fact. I think we dropped around $1000 buying every souvenir our little hearts desired. Wands for me & the kids, Hogwarts robes for the kids. Shirts, hats, a pigmy puff, sword of Gryffindor, Nimbus 2000, Sneakoscope, screaming yo-yo, bunch of candy at Honeydukes, Hedwig puppet, Stuffed animal Crookshanks, and some other things I can't remember at the moment.
To sum it up, it was awesome. So glad we left the kids home with Grandma!!
Looks like you guys had a great time! I really must read those books.
